Mode d’emploi

FAQ

Are bailey dog brushes good for shedding?

You bet! It’s high-quality solid silicone material means there’ll be no scratching to give you and your pooch the best dog grooming brush experience ever. Its comfortable round tips are durable, and glide along their bodies making it incredibly skin friendly while getting only the loose and dead hair out. Using it everyday will gradually reduce shedding over time by leaving only the healthy fur behind.

What's the difference between the Bailey Brush for Cats and the Bailey Brush for dogs?

Every bailey brush is designed to be soft and gentle for all furry pets, from bunnies to horses and all the cats and dogs too. The bailey brush for dogs might feel the same to touch, however the silicone mix is created to be slightly more flexible to hold up to more aggressive brushing sessions – this also gives it improved results for sud-making at bath time. If you're concerned about which brush is right for your pet, rest assured each bailey brush will give you the same results.

Is the Bailey dog brush better than a vaccum dog brush at removing loose fur?

If your dog has heavy shedding or is a breed known for having tough undercoats, the bailey dog brush is soft and flexible, safe and resilient, and works exceptionally well at going deep down to massage and remove all that extra fur. The bailey brush is a preferred tool by many groomers because it's gentle and works great at calming pets. Generally a vacuum dog brush will cause anxiety and depending on the brush attachments cause discomfort or pull on their coats. Typically, you can expect your dog to shed more if you are continually pulling on their coats over time.

Is this a suitable dog brush for short hair?

You bet! And many professional groomers and veterinarians agree.

The unique properties of the bailey brush is that it creates static cling for short hairs because of the textured silicone. You can expect it to collect the tiny hairs inside between the bristles and you may need to rinse it quickly to get the fur out depending on how long you brush for.

Is the Bailey Brush dog brush washable?

Yes. It's not only washable it's made to get wet. It's perfect for lathering in the bath and after you are done you can pop it in the dishwasher or sanitize it in hot water.

Is this the only shedding brush for dogs that I will need?

Depending on your dogs it may be the only brush you need. Some dogs have longer coats and might get mats or tangles if you miss their grooming sessions. They may require metal detanglers or a trip to a professional groomer if this is the case.

The bailey brush dog brush is designed to be used every day to keep their coats healthy and shed less over time and reduce the need for other brushes that may hurt or damage their skin and fur.

What brushes do dog groomers use?

It's becoming more common for dog groomers to keep a high quality "curry" brush like the bailey brush in their dog grooming tool kits.

Typically you'll find groomers have dematting tools to cut out and shred hair and mats from dogs that have neglected or dirty coats. They also may own a slicker brush to slick down and smooth out the fur after a good grooming session.

Because groomers typically give trims and shampoos they do have their preference of tools and also many brands may sponsor them or pay them to use only their tools.

The odds are that a professional groomer or a veterinarian clinic would benefit from owning a bailey brush and might already have one! It's great for calming anxious pets and are an excellent way to get the fur out quickly and will hold up to multiple uses every day compared to any rubber or plastic brush.

I see other brushes that are similar to this, what gives?

The bailey brush is a popular brush that we supply to hundreds of quality pet stores and has been purchased by thousands of pet lovers around the world. Our patented design prohibits bad actors from copying and selling our product or imitating our brush. If you find these products, let us know. It not only hurts inventors like us but could put you and your pet at risk. Odds are that copied products are not made of high quality silicone and instead may use rubber or plastic to cut corners. We also recommend avoiding any brush that holds water inside as these can make pets sick with mold formation and are not approved by veterinarians.

The best dog brush we use

The dogs and, more importantly, the owners at Scamps are loving the Pawmelo brushes! When people see how well it works on loose undercoat fur, the brushes sell themselves! I’m also so impressed with the durability. They are the third brand of silicone brushes I’ve tried, and they are lasting much much better! My two Pawmelo brushes get used 4 – 10 times a day (!!) and they are still nice and pointy after 2 months! Plus, we love to support a BC company! Thanks for creating such a great grooming tool!
